cleanliness was top-notch. just a hop away from bus stops. got great tips on local spots. loved the private patio.

The standard studio I stayed in was neat with the upstairs bedroom. All the staff was very amenable, solved my issues. The location was marvellous and perfect, with bars and restaurants close to the hotel. There was a wide range of cafés and bars nearby...

I had a lovely stay here! the housekeeping was spot on, and the staff were super helpful, even letting us check in early after a long drive from a funeral. They were friendly and had great recommendations for the local area. There were tasty in-room breakfast options, and we loved the picnic area for relaxing after exploring the beach just around the corner.

While the location is fantastic and super accessible, my room could definitely use some maintenance. A couple of plugs were a bit loose, and I found some peeling paint in the bathroom.

Really enjoyed staying there, I do recommend the hotel. By and large, it was convenient base for sightseeing in Paraparaumu, had much fun. The room was large and new-fashioned with fresh towels and the staff understanding. The restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious.

The location is handy and just next door to beach and good restaurants and the ocean. The apartment is brand-new and has central heating, iron/ironing board, and coffee/tea making equipment.

The location is excellent, right next to trains to Wellington, good restaurants, the beach, and off-street parking. The units are beautifully decorated and brand-new, with a lovely patio.

The layout of the room was excellent, The facilities were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. The price was economical and we have stayed there before.

We loved the friendly owner and his wife. Nothing was too much trouble for them and you would have thought we were the only guests by the way they took the time to tell us about the area, and help us with our short stay. They also took the trouble to suggest a quieter room than the one automatically allocated by Booked.net. The WiFi was excellent too; fast, reliable and was free of charge. We will certainly return.

The bed was quite bouncy so that when either of us moved, it tended to wake the other person up. The capacity of the hot water tank is only 45 litres so you just have to watch how long showers are - but the owners had put up clear notices about this, so it wasn't a problem.

We loved the family room with a balcony, it made us feel at home, and the convenience of having a microwave, electric kettle, and fridges was a great added bonus.

Location was great, very comfortable, clean and well appointed.

Traffic meant unit on the road was noisy.

Handy to the beach and transport

The staff at Wrights By the Sea Motel was fantastic - understanding and with a great sense of humor. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around the hotel, making it a great spot to explore Paraparaumu.

We were a family group in the area for a funeral and the motel owners were very understanding and helpful

Very friendly owners, clean rooms, free internet access (100MB/day) and parking, close to beach shops, easy to find.
